AARGH!!

We are so excited to close a week from today!!

Life is so complicated right now though, just trying to get everything purchased, coordinated, and thought out. Plus we are most likely going to be on the HGTV show House Hunters and they cannot come out and film us until February 20-23 despite the fact that we close February 6th. So they do not want us to paint or do anything to the house until they come out which means two wasted weekends of work.

Honestly, I just want to get my house together and move already!!

Shawn is anxious too and has these plans for this phenomenal deck in the backyard so we can enjoy our panoramic view of the mountains and downtown Denver. We cannot for Shrek to have his own yard so he can go out and protect the house on his whim.

Lord give me patience please!!

New House

We officially found a new house and are under contract!! We close on February 6th and we are so very excited. The inspector came over and said everything looks awesome!! The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a finished walkout basement. I have already started packing and have been looking at paint samples with my best friend Kristi who is an interior designer!!

Then we found out that we are going to be on the HGTV show House Hunters!! They are going to come out and film us starting on February 20th. We are super excited about this and my dad is totally psyched. I have been working to get he and I on tv for a long time and always wanted to get us on Double Dare, but this is so much cooler because we do not have to get slimed at the end. Shawn and I cannot wait and now we want to get on the Amazing Race!!

So now it is on to packing, although we can only pack a little since the tv show needs to see our current house cluttered so it seems like we need to move. As well, the house we just bought needs to look empty so it seems like we just bought it. Because of this we can only put stuff in cupboards and such until after the taping but cannot move in any furniture or put anything in the closets or such. It will be so worth it and so much fun when all is said and done!!

Our New House!!

We finally have a home!! We close February 6th but are under contract, have financing, and the inspection went great. Now we are just stuck in the wonderful world of paperwork. The house is gorgeous, was built in 2002, has a finished basement, cathedral ceilings, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and a huge yard for Shrek and my new trampoline!!

Happy New Year 2009!!

I can hardly believe it is 2009 already!! Holy cow!!

We had a wonderful holiday season spending tons of time with both of our families and opening so many presents our hands had paper cuts. We are so thankful for our families and all that we have. For New Year's we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa DeCew in Briny Breezes, Florida. As usual we had a fabulous time and we actualy relaxed for once. We went to the beach everyday and snorkeled. Shawn found some amazing seashells, so we caught the bug and became offical shell hunters. Other than that we watched a lot of football and basketball and spent time with family and friends just laughing and hanging out. It was wonderful and much needed.

On the home front, we are still looking for a house and feeling quite frustrated at the process. We have looked at so many houses and have only found a few that meet our wants and needs. Right now we have an offer in on an awesome house but are still waiting on the bank to approve the short sale and it is infuriating. Good things come to those who wait but patience is a virtue neither of us have much of.
